Over the last 2 days, I took one of the stories we talked about during class with my something interesting: a music box. I gravitated most towards the one with the most comedic humor since it's something I could see as outside my comfort zone but an interesting challenge. The story revolves around a boy and father that walk into a room and see the music box. As they approach and almost begin to twist the gear that plays the music, the camera zooms into the box until you see the man living inside the machanics itself. Fast asleep, the man enjoys his rest until red alarms start ringing warning him that he needs to wake up and do his job. With an annoyed trudge, he makes his way to the musical intrument (in this case, a xylaphone), to play for the people eagerly waiting outside the box.

However, the story takes a twist when the younger boy outside gets his hands on the music box. With neglect and carelessness, he spins the gear to the music box as fast as he can in hopes to see how fast the music can go. The poor man in the music box is playing his heart out as fast as he can, until finally, he gives up. With a simple look to the camera showing his defeat, he walks away. The people outside the music box are left to assume the boy broke it with his carelessness.

A storyboard is included above which shows the events of the story laid out by shot.
