Week 4

Following our meeting with the mentors, we were confirmed to stay on track and continue with our schedule. My biggest priorities for the week ahead include beginning the environment layout and continuing r&d on the license plate. On thursday, I had updates on lighting and references for environment during our class dailies.

Week 4 Goals

For shot 4, I began doing some alternate versions of lighting to close the commercial and promote the product in the most desireable way possible. After recieving feedback, I learned that the first image was too distracting by giving focus to the environment around it rather than the vehicle. In contrast, the render to the right illuminates the key from the back, with a second key in the front to return light to the front of the vehicle instead of casting it completely in shadow. The lighting was taken inspiration from the references below.
